Yo Leebow, Where’s Your Content?

Friends; this is my new blog home. If you’re looking for all the prior content, it resides at my old blog home. Over 700 posts. You can find it here: Bloggingaboutblogs.blogspot.com.

The reason for the move: Because of blog-spam, Blogger made a decision to ask its users for word verification on every post. It become incredibly annoying. The transistion to Blogsome and Wordpress has been incredibly easy. Of course, there are many additional features at Blogsome. It’s nice to have categories and of course, a much nicer template.

Pop in your town or zip code and see what you get. It looks like a great way to see what’s going on in your neck-of-the-woods. Oh yeah, you can pop in any city.

One of my roles as Qwest’s Incredible Internet Guy is to talk about online safety. Tonight, Dateline NBC has a special about this sad part of the Internet.

In three days, Dateline “snagged” nineteen people. And here’s the thing that most people don’t get: It’s the “normal” guy who lives next door — nice guy, good job, good neighbor, etc.

Here are a few items from my presentations:

1. Never meet up with someone you meet on the Internet.
2. While the design concept of Myspace is incredible, it is a candy store for a sexual predator.
3. I’ve never “met” a chat room that I like.
4. Check out IncredibleInternet.com. We have a Parent Net-Safety Quiz and a rich-array of online safety information.

Bottomline: If you’re an adult with teens, chat with them. On the Net, always be: Alert, Aware, and have your Antenna up.
