A different type of revolution: The Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Their journals — historian Donald Jackson called the Corps of Discovery the “writingest” explorers in U.S. history — would recast the nation’s conception of itself.

While we rush to the future, now is a good time to reflect on our past. It’s hard to believe; only a few years ago (200 to be exact), the Lewis and Clark expedition (sort of) reached the Pacific Ocean.

Take a moment to read the Washington Post article (registration required) and my recent blog post about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. A few months back, I gave some presentations about using the Internet to explore the expedition.
