How Important is our Information Society?

Filed under: Revolution 3.0, Google, Yahoo

I thought you’d never ask. When I give presentations, to make the point that the Industrial Revolution has been transformed into the Information Revolution, I provide the Market Capitalization of these companies:

On 10/24/2005 . . .
Yahoo + Google was $146 billion
Ford + GM was $33 billion

On 11/16/2005 . . .
Yahoo + Google $167 billion
Ford + GM $26 billion

I’d rather be drivin’ a Yahoo than a Ford. How ’bout you?
